We’re excited to invite all STA Members to the STA Annual Convention taking place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025!
We’re excited to invite all STA Members to the STA Annual Convention taking place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025! This is a full day of professional learning, networking, and celebration of our incredible community of educators.
The morning plenary sessions will be virtual and accessible at your assigned school or workplace.
Principals will be provided with a single Zoom link so the staff can watch together as a group. Due to restrictions on the number of participants allowed on the Zoom call, only one link per workplace will be issued.
If you are unable to access a workplace for the virtual plenary, or if you are a substitute teacher interested in joining, please reach out to the Convention Chairs at convention@saskatoonteachers.ca for assistance.
Breakout sessions are offered in a variety of formats—in-person, virtual, or hybrid—with most sessions held in-person at either Centennial Collegiate or Aden Bowman Collegiate. Thank you to the administration, school staff, and support staff for hosting us at these hubs!
Session details will be emailed to members via the email address used during registration the week before the convention. These details will include the time, location (building and room), and any other reminders.
This email will come from “Convention@SaskatoonTeachers.ca” so be sure to check your junk if you don’t see it!
If you registered on EventBrite for a virtual or hybrid session, you will receive the link to join in that email.
Be sure to pre-register to guarantee your spot, receive access to any virtual links, and be entered into the pre-registration contest!
At both Centennial and Bowman, there will be drinks and snacks available in the entryways after the breakout sessions. This is a great opportunity for networking, connecting, and collegial conversations with fellow educators.
Take advantage of this time to share ideas, relax, and build community!
We’re running two exciting contests to celebrate and engage our members!

We are excited to invite you to submit your name to be a potential facilitator for a grade-level or subject area collaboration breakout session at the Saskatoon Teacher Association’s Annual Convention. The purpose of these collaborative spaces is to foster a supportive environment where we can learn from each other’s experiences and build stronger teaching practices. If you’re interested in facilitating one of these collaborative sessions, please submit your application by filling out this form. Your input and leadership will make a meaningful impact on our collective growth!
As a session facilitator, your role will be to facilitate meaningful discussions, encourage the sharing of ideas, and guide your colleagues in reflecting on their teaching practices. You will help create a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels comfortable contributing, whether by presenting a strategy, asking questions, or offering feedback. Your leadership will ensure the session remains focused, engaging, and productive, helping participants walk away with actionable strategies and a stronger sense of community. By facilitating this session, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise, inspire fellow educators, and help shape the collective growth of your grade or subject team.
The deadline for submitting your session information is Friday, February 14 2025. (Click here for the form). Once your submission is received, we will begin planning and will reach out to confirm details as the event draws nearer.
